Hello, I'm Adriana

I help stressed, overwhelmed, exhausted, and depleted parents, university students, and children (ages 5-13) transform the chaos of daily life through mindfulness and deep self-exploration to uncover inner strength and connection in oneself, loved ones, and the world and heal to be the best version yourself. Therapeutically strengthening your relationship with yourself so you can strengthen all other relationships in a way that promotes understanding and growth for everyone, is possible. You are capable of transformation, even when facing trauma, mental illness, or disrupted attachments

  • Parents, I want you to know that even through deep love, we can feel unheard, disconnected and sometimes even unloved because miscommunication, misunderstanding and unmet needs can interfere in capacity to grow and nurture. It might feel hopeless or like burnout. But, that can change.

  • University Students, I want you to know that even with excellent support and skills, we can feel overwhelmed and underequipped, or even like failures as we navigate all the transitions and stressors that come with school and managing mental health at this age. Working on our own wellbeing, and learning different ways to thrive within a system and during this time of life IS possible.

  • Kids, I want you to know that even if your world feels like it's tipping and you are sliding off, or if you have big behaviours and you are just trying your best but somehow it's not working, you CAN have a bright future. Getting your caregiving system in on the best ways to support you, and helping you to know what you need too WILL make a difference. And, it can even be fun.

Working with me gives you a safe space to learn evidence-informed ways to cultivate self-awareness, deepen your innate capacities and tap into your own inner wisdom to find meaning and insight. I can help you learn mindful and holistic approaches to healing that can impact your life in profound ways. My approaches are grounded in research, proven effective, and are trauma informed.

I am also a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over15 years of mental health experience specializing in child, youth, and family mental health. I am passionate about mindfully supporting people on their journey to mental and emotional wellness. I bring knowledge, compassion, and guidance to assist you on your journey of healing, growth and well-being.

Outside of clinical counselling, I am a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) teacher.  I have a strong personal practice of mindfulness and meditation, and I remain active in deepening my practices allowing me to live a more fully engaged life (so I can support my people in living a more fully engaged life).

I am also a wife and a mom of two very inquisitive and curious little humans. I am available in person in Coquitlam on Thursdays and virtually on a variable schedule through the week. Please email to check my availability and set up an appointment. I look forward to connecting with you.
